WHAT ARE THE RECEPTION HOURS?

Our reception hours are:
Monday to Wednesday from 8:00 am - 7 pm.
Thursday to Saturday from 8:00 am - 8 pm.
Sunday 8:00am to 5:00pm

WHEN IS THE CHECK-IN TIME AND CAN I HAVE AN EARLY CHECK-IN?

While we try our best effort to make your room ready before 3:00 pm, we can't guarantee availability prior to our standard check-in time of 3:00 pm. We would be happy to offer an early check-in if your room is ready! Please contact our reception to request for early check-in.

WHEN IS THE CHECK-OUT TIME? AND CAN I HAVE A LATE CHECK-OUT?

The check-out time is 11:00 am. Please inquire with The Intrepid front desk if you wish to request a late check-out. All late checkout requests are subject to availability.

Can I CHECK-IN OUTSIDE RECEPTION OPENING HOURS?

If you expect to arrive after reception closes, please contact hello@theintrepidhotel.com and we will email you instructions 24 hours out.

can I leave my luggage at reception after I check out?

We’re more than happy to mind your bags after you check out. We can store your luggage between 8 AM to 7:00 PM. We are unable to store luggage overnight.

How many guests can each room accommodate?

Generally, two as all our rooms have either a queen, king, or super king bed. Our Gemini room has two queen beds and can accommodate up to four people with a maximum of three adults.

Do you have cots available for use?

Cots are available free of charge for children aged 0-3 years. We have a limited number available so let us know by adding your little one to your booking by selecting “infant”. You must provide your own sleep bag/cot linen for your bub.

Can I bring my dog?

is the hotel accessibility friendly?

Unfortunately, due to the age of the building, the front steps of the hotel are not wheelchair friendly (yet). We are conjuring up a solution to address this issue, as we don’t want to exclude anyone from staying here. So watch this space.

What’s for breakfast?

We’ve got you sorted with a complimentary freshly baked croissant in the lobby from 8am each morning. You’ll also find freshly brewed filter coffee with the croissants downstairs and on each level. There’s even complimentary oranje juice in your room’s mini fridge. Enough to keep you going until you venture out into the brunch-iest part of Wellington, just outside the hotel door.

Those snacks and drinks in my room… can I have them?

Definitely. They’re all yours.

Can I park at the hotel?

Short answer is no. But! There is plenty of short-term parking on surrounding streets. Check the meter for times and charges. For longer-term parking, we recommend Wilson’s Parking Left Bank, just two minutes walk from the hotel on Victoria Street, or Wilson’s Parking Garrett Street (uncovered), across Glover Park.
There is a loading zone just outside the hotel doors, so you’re more than welcome to pull up and unload your luggage. We’ll give you a hand.

Do rooms have Wi-Fi?

Of course! Wi-Fi is provided in rooms and in the lobby. It’s free (as it should be).

Do the rooms have TVs?

They sure do. You can even log into your own Netflix/Neon/AppleTV account. Just be sure you log out when you leave.

What’s the story with The Puffin?

Puffin Wine Bar is just downstairs, head in for a drink! They specialise in natural and low-intervention wines and salty delicious small plates for snacking. Puffin is open from 4 pm till late Monday to Wednesday, and 2 pm till late Thursday to Sunday. You are very welcome to purchase a bottle of wine to take with you upstairs. There are wine glasses in your room.

what if I need ice?

Call reception within reception hours and we are happy to bring you some. Otherwise, head to the pantry on Level 3 where there is an ice machine and buckets on top.

what if I spill something on my jumper?

There is a guest laundry located in the pantry on Level 3 too. You’re most welcome to use it. If it’s really bad, call reception. We know some good dry cleaners.
